Looking at the Dimension 8300in more depth, the specs show it is the most powerful desktop PC ever offered by Dell Dimension. Containing the latest Pentium 4 processor running up to 3.0Ghz, it's built for speed and efficiency. It's not immediately apparent from the general specs, but if you look at the detail you'll see that this series has better architecture than the other series, something that Dell doesn't highlight. The 8300 has a different chassis from previous models that we've bought as it has a storm grey and Midnight Grey colour scheme which is quite cool and is, in Dell's own words,

'...designed for customers needing the best rated computers that will provide exceptional performance on today's high-end applications while providing room to grow into tomorrow's more processor/memory intensive software...'.

Well OK, like I said, it's very fast! It is also big enough to cope with tomorrow's high-demand software without the need for upgrades, so it should last longer than most middle-of-the-road computers.
