I must admit we're very partial to laptops here. Like you, I want the best cheap laptop computers in the UK that I can buy for my money. And no-one here in the offices has complained yet! It's not always been easy either if like me you've bought cheap laptops previously. So we've had poor screen definition, the flexy-keyboard that gives up and the slow processor ('..well you did buy it cheap didn't you sir..').

That includes 15" TFT screen, 30Gb hard drive, modem, DVD, and Windows XP! That's what we call cheap laptops and that's why we recommend them to anybody that asks!

If you haven't yet experienced a 14.1" or 15" TFT notebook screen then you're in for a treat. We find these are just so much better than normal monitor screens and you'll find that this size is actually a bit bigger than a conventional equivalent size monitor screen (don't ask). The quality is amazing and does not deteriorate or ever get out of focus. Come to think of it THAT'S why we like running laptops here so much!

As an alternative, and even cheaper way of shopping for laptops, we've found Morgan Computers to be amazing on prices as they sell second-user laptops, often with near-new quality. We've had some great feedback on what people have bought simply because of the prices. So if you're looking to save money, this is a great supplier to also review.

Anyway, check both of them out for yourselves. We think you'll get the right spec cheap laptops you want because you can set your own requirements (a bit like building your own, only Dell get to do the work). The Dell site is easy to use and pretty informative and you get an instant price update every time you change or add a component.
