Who isn't Looking for Cheap Computers?
Cheap PC's in the UK
are not that hard to find but we've found here that most of them
are just not worth the hassle. We've bought and we've invited tenders
for some of the cheapest computers on the UK market and ended up
with equipment that starts to fail after a matter of only months.
Some of the companies we've dealt with have gone bust well before
our warranty was up!
Do you Want Quality, Cheap Computers?
We
all want cheap desktops in the UK. But we also want a quality
cheap computer. We've tried a number of different makes over
the years (I won't mention them here as I'd be quite rude about
some of them!) but certainly Dell has come top of the
list. Funny thing is, we didn't look at them for a long time as
we thought they were too expensive. But they're not, which is why
we now use and recommend them as quality cheap
computers in the UK. They're amazing value for the quality build
you get.
Like everyone else we
want low cost computers to save money
but also want the best quality. I think we've been very lucky finding
the Dell Dimension 2400 series which Dell quote you can buy from
£464 for a desktop with a 2.4Ghz Celeron processor no less, and
with 128M of RAM AND a 17" monitor. Now that's what
we call cheap PC's in the UK and that's why we recommend them to
anybody that asks!
Get the Cheap Computers you
WANT
What's unusual about
the deals are that YOU are able to specify what you want in terms
of your hard disk, RAM, DVD, monitor and everything else, live online
whilst instantly getting a price update on-screen. Neat.
Well, that's what their
blurb says anyway. We bought them based on reviews we found like
the one at Reviews.CNET which said:
 "
Think of the Dell Dimension 2300 series as the Honda Civic of
computing. The Dimension 2300, which replaces the 2200 and the SmartStep
150D, won't turn any heads, but it offers the features that most
people need at budget prices, ranging from £599 upwards. And like
all Dimension PCs, you can customize the system to suit your needs
before you buy. CNET Rating: 7 out of 10 "
That's exactly what we
wanted to hear when looking for computers so that's what we got.
Anyway, check them out for yourselves. We think you'll get quality
computers you want at a price you want and you can set your
own requirements. The Dell site is easy to use and pretty informative
and purchasing as expected is really easy especially as you get
an instant price update every time you change or add a component.
